Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Medium Sized Onion chopped
  • 4 oz chopped green chilies drained (can)
  • 3/4 cup Mahatma rice uncooked
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Beef-flavored bouillon cube
  • 16 oz Bush’s Best light red kidney beans or Bush’s Best red beans
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterrey jack cheese 2 oz.
  • 1 lb Smoked Jalapeno Cheese Sausage
  • 1 tsp Tabasco brand pepper sauce

Instructions
  1. In medium saucepan, heat oil over medium high heat; add onion and chilies and saute 3 minutes.
  2. Add rice, water and bouillon cube.
  3. Bring to a boil. reduce heat, simmer covered, 15-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  4. Stir in beans, cheese, Smoked Jalapeno Cheese Sausage and Tabasco. Cook another 10-15 minutes.

Serve warm.
